The effects of an H1-antihistamine on skin responses to injected histamine do not reflect responses of clinical symptoms in patients with chronic cold urticaria. H1– antihistamine dosing should be based on clinical effects and/or effects on cold provocation testing according to guideline recommendations and results of the previous clinical trials on chronic cold urticaria.
